MAGIC? COSMIC COINCIDENCE? MOTHER NATURE? NO! THE HAND OF GOD ALMIGHTY!
Matthew 11:15 “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
“It’s Magical!”
“It’s a Cosmic Coincidence!”
“It’s the Power of the Universe in action!”
“It’s a mystery of the moon and the sun!”
“We are having an existential connection to Mother Nature!”
All these phrases were among the many quotes I jotted down as we listened to news commentators today while we watched the solar eclipse outside and watched live coverage of the MIRACULOUS event as it took place all across our nation. I was watching Fox News by the way.
Hearing these words broke my heart. I understand that not all people acknowledge or believe in Jesus Christ and His Father God, Adonai, but not one person, not one commentator or anyone interviewed all day mentioned the true reason for this eclipse: God, Adonai, Eloheinu, our Creator, the Creator of our universe and all universes, He was the One at work! Yahweh, Who holds all He has created in the palm of His Mighty hand, He is the One who was in was in charge of creating this eclipse, not the power of the universe, not magic, not a cosmic coincidence, not Mother Nature… GOD, Adonai did it and He did it for one purpose: to speak to us, to warn us.
Of course, a solar eclipse is a wonderful way to collect data about the sun, it’s weather, solar flares and materials that explode into space from the magnetic fields coming so close together, and to see it is fascinating and makes one ponder about what it might have been like for people years before scientists knew what an eclipse was! I’m sure back then, for some who didn’t know God, it might have been a scary thing to behold!
But I write this blog to tell you that this eclipse, every eclipse is so, so much more than all of those things!
Something very interesting I have learned from Pastor Larry Huch is that Ancient Jewish wisdom teaches us when you see a lunar tetrad or eclipse (blood moon) it is a warning from Adonai to the Jews. And when you see a Solar eclipse, it is a warning from Adonai to the Gentiles.
Why?
Because God’s calendar goes by the moon and everything the Jewish people do follows the movement of the moon. But the Western calendar, the calendar of the Gentiles, goes by the sun and, for the most part, everything Gentiles do follows the sun.
Acts 2:19 “And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.”
The last time that there was a Solar Eclipse was Monday, August 21, 2017. I remember it well. We had a pipe in our bathroom burst the day before and our landlord had placed us in a lovely hotel for a few days while it was being repaired. The kids and I were swimming and though we didn’t have the glasses to watch it, we made the puncture papers and watched it take place through shadow and also watched it take place in other places of the country on the news. It was an exciting day!
I know there are millions of people in the world, just like me, who understand the scriptures of God’s Word and know that this event was not a coincidence at all. There is no word in ancient Hebrew for coincidence because there is no coincidence with God. We understand that there is no coincidence a solar eclipse took place in our nation 7 years ago in 2017 and now it is happening again especially when this is something considered a rare occurrence. The number seven, in Hebrew, represents completion. So, what has been completed in these past 7 years? According to the scriptures, quite a bit! But for this article let’s keep the focus upon Israel and the United States of America because those two countries are bound spiritually, and the United States is where the past two solar eclipses have taken place.
Back in 2017, I knew the scriptures of God’s Word about how He speaks to us through signs and wonders in the heavens, and I knew that there were some significant things taking place in Israel too. One of the things that was significant to fulfilling Biblical prophecy was talk about moving the capitol of Israel from
Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. It had been “talked” about for years and years among many leaders and previous presidents, but now… it seemed more apparent that it was actually going to happen.
When it finally did, for some, the day came and went like any other, but for those who know God’s Word, it was incredibly significant! The United States recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel was a necessary part of the 50-year Jubilee, and in that Jubilee, restoration and return had to take place for the nation of Israel to be made whole.
There is quite a bit to learn about the Biblical Jubilee, especially the one connected to Israel, in fact, Messianic Jewish Rabbi Jonathan Cahn wrote an entire book upon it called The Oracle. But for this article I will just state that in the Old Testament (Leviticus 25:8-55) God tells the nation of Israel that during a 50-year Jubilee, what once was lost or taken from the Jewish people, especially where the land of Israel is concerned, it would be restored and so the restoration of Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol, fulfilled that promise of God. And yet, it also went a step further.
In the last day prophecies, it is written in several books of the Bible, both Old Testament and New (mostly in the book of Revelation but also in Zech. 14), that the Messiah, who we know is Yeshua, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Adonai, will return to rule on this earth and when He does, He will return to reign from Jerusalem.
Ezekial and Zechariah prophecy that the Jewish people would be gathered from nations all over the world back to their homeland of Israel, this is called Aliyah, and this process must begin first. This is happening and has been happening for years! Then, Jerusalem, a very pivotal, significant and Holy city of the Lord being recognized once again as the nation’s capitol had to take place to prepare the way for what is written in the book of Zechariah 14:8-11, which says:
8 On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter.
9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be One and His name One.
10 The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. 11 And it shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction. Jerusalem shall dwell in security.
Again, we know that the eclipse of 2017 took place on Monday, August 21st and the recognition and moving of the capitol of Israel from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem took place on December 6, 2017. That had to be done to fulfill God’s Word–and He would see to it that it was! We know God was again speaking to us at that time, the Gentiles of the United States, trying to get us to pay attention and wake us up so that we would be in prayer for this monumental event to take place in peace. And all those who know God’s Word and were paying attention to these events, were doing just that.
We have discussed important issues connected to the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Adonai where the Gentiles are concerned. So now, let’s take a look at some incredibly important events for the Jewish people, both negative and positive, that took place surrounding “Blood Moons”.
According to “Blogging on Bible Prophecy and World Events” (www.readyandwatching.com) several significant events have taken place during total lunar eclipse or tetrads, most commonly known as “blood moons”. The events which took place, according to their website and historical research are as follows:
- A Jewish Tetrad occurred 1493-1494 and this was the period of time that Jews were expelled from Spain and Columbus returned from his discovery of the New World.
- In 1949-1950 a blood moon happened again. Jews returned to form the country of Israel for the first time in 2000 years!
- The next time a this occurs is the Tetrad of 1967-1968. Israel captured the city of Jerusalem in the Six Day War and for the first time Jews pray at the holy wall in the city of their ancestors.
- In 2014 a Tetrad of Blood Moons all fell on Jewish Feast Days. This is only the ninth time in 2000 years that this has happened where a Tetrad has all four Blood Moons occurring on Jewish feast days! (That is the Mighty Hand of God!) The number “Nine” in Hebrew has the meaning of ‘judgment.’ The last Blood Moon of the 2014-15 Tetrad was also a Super Moon appearing larger than usual, and the eclipsed moon was setting over Jerusalem on a feast day. (Our God is an AWESOME God!!!)
God uses the Blood Moons to speak to His Jewish people, not just to warn them of things to come which were of tragedy, but to prepare them for things to come which were of great triumph and celebration! He speaks to us through His Word and His Word tells us that He uses the heavens to communicate to both the Jews and the Gentiles. Now, let me be very clear, this is not to say that He uses astrology. No! His Word is quite clear on that matter and tells us in many places to stay away from astrology altogether. This is different. In the scriptures God tells us through His Word how He will use the heavens to give “signs and wonders” and eclipses are part of that communication to us, just like what happened today.
Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves…”
For those of us who believe in God’s Word and trust in Him completely, we see these signs in the heavens and are paying attention–and not just the signs in the heavens either! Let’s not forget that there was an earthquake with a magnitude measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale that hit the northeast region of our nation on Friday, April 5, 2024. The epicenter for the earthquake was Lebanon, New Jersey, interesting city name considering the war Israel is currently fighting! The latest earthquake recorded in the New Jersey area was December 3, 2020, with a measurement magnitude of 2.51 on the Richter Scale.
Yet, what I found really fascinating was the fact that the earthquake was also felt in New York which hasn’t had a significant recorded earthquake since 1884 with a recorded magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter Scale.
New York City was recorded having a smaller quake in 2001 with a magnitude of 2.6, so this quake recorded on April 5th, 2024, seemed to literally “shake” things up a bit for that city and entire region and that is precisely the point! God is literally shaking us! Shaky! He is such a good, loving, merciful God full of grace, patience, compassion and love! He is trying to wake us up to the directions we are going–which for so many are the wrong directions and farther and farther away from Him. But what’s worse, they are leading so many others with them.
Apostasy. That is what it is called when a people or nation turn away from God. Whether people want to accept it or not, this nation was founded upon the Word of God. It was founded, built and established by people who came here for the soul purpose of building a nation under God, for God, and that God is Yahweh, Adonai.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of Israel. Why do I say His name so often? Because there are a lot of people out there claiming other gods theses days and I just need to make it clear Who it is I am writing about. Plus, I LOVE HIS NAMES! They are ALL good! They are ALL awesome! They are ALL Holy and righteous!
Exodus 3:15 “God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.”
Our first President, George Washington, believed in God and the Bible and understood the importance of our nation keeping in alignment with both serving God and obeying His Word. He said, “”It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” In his farewell address to the nation as President he also gave a warning, basically telling the people that if America ever turned away from serving God and His eternal law, then all the blessings America has received would be removed. It only makes sense, doesn’t it? When a nation begins to drive the presence of God out and tell Him, we don’t want You here, we don’t want Your law, Your Ten Commandments, the words of the Bible, prayer in schools and the public square, we want to open ourselves up to other gods–or no gods living here, we don’t believe in You anymore… how can Adonai possibly keep His Hands covering us, protecting us, providing for us and blessing us as He did before? He can’t. He gives us free will to choose Him, but we have to make the right choice.
Those who oppose Him have brought this conflict to our land. They want Him out… but so many of us want Him in! They are spreading the lie that having God in our land is a bad thing. Christians and Jews are the enemy. They call wrong right and right wrong. Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”
But we remember the true history of our nation and the foundation of His Word that it was built upon, and we are crying out to God not to leave us. And so, He calls to us all. He speaks to us through signs and wonders, giving us warnings and mercy, hoping that those who oppose Him will pay attention, acknowledge His splendor and majesty, and return to Him. Some of us see Him in the eclipse, know it is Him and recognize His splendor and wonders… and others call it magic, cosmic coincidence and the power of the universe.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
There is no coincidence that these events are taking place during the time when Israel is in this terrible war.
Yes, I admit, recently there have been some mistakes the IDF have made which they have owned, apologized for and are trying to correct, though they know they can never replace the lives of innocent aid workers or other innocent people that have been killed in this war. War is a horrible thing, and this war still must be fought. We believe with all our hearts that the nation of Israel are not terrorists as others are calling them. They are not Nazi’s. They are not evil. They are not occupiers. They are not committing genocide. They are fighting a war with a real terrorist regime, Hamas, who savagely attacked their nation with the forces of hell behind them. If what happened in Israel happened on American soil, there would be no question as to what should be done to destroy such evil. But… sadly, there always seems to be a difference when it comes to God’s people and the nation of Israel.
When the war first began, President Biden’s resolve to stand with Israel was strong. As time has gone by and
pro-HAMAS rallies are happening all over our country– all over the world, instead of his resolve growing stronger, he is growing weaker. If what happened to Israel happened in America and we were fighting a war against those who did such evil atrocities, I’m sure there would be some unintentional mistakes made in that war, I’m sure there have been actual mistakes made in our previous wars. But I believe this with all my heart, there is not a chance any American President or American leader would allow another nation to dictate to them how they should fight their war.
This leads me to another reason I believe this eclipse came at the time it did. I believe another warning that this eclipse is giving is to remind President Biden, Blinken, and any other leaders in Washington D.C.–on both sides of the aisle, that God is a respecter of no persons. (Ephesians 6:8, Romans 2:11)) Which means He does not judge us based on our power, fame, fortune or office held. He judges us on our heart and our character. He bows to no man. He changes for no man, nor does His Word, and He will not allow man–especially men from another nation, to have control or say over His people and nation of Israel. That is just not going to happen. Period. Adonai is God and God is sovereign. He does not slumber; He does not sleep, and He keeps His Word, always.
exodus 19:5-6 “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
What people don’t realize is that Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, the leaders of Iran, all these groups hate– despise
Americans just as much as they do Israelis. Israel isn’t just fighting for themselves; they are fighting for us as well! Hamas leaders have said that they will continue performing October 7th over and over again until the Israel is no more, and when they are finished there, they are coming for the Zionists, that means those who support Israel, which includes many Americans. We know the Iranians provided the financial support for the attack Hamas conducted upon Israel on October 7th so why wouldn’t they continue on funding their mission of terror upon America? Think that statement is an overreach? Four years ago, the Iranian parliament was recorded chanting “Death to America!” Need to watch the video for yourself? In fact, we have probably helped them obtain more.
Just more reasons for God to be warning us.
That video was recorded four years ago. I personally don’t believe for one moment that their hatred for us has diminished– on the contrary, I am quite sure that it has grown. Not only that, their rhetoric is spreading, not just to other countries, as you might suppose I was going to say, but right here, in our own nation, in the state of Michigan to be exact. I use the phrase “pro-Hamas” instead of pro-Palestinian because that is what the narrative has become. At the majority of these protests in our nation and other nations, it is not just Palestinian flags being carried, Hamas flags are everywhere. Flags of terrorists being waved proudly and yet, people seem to be okay with this in those places, including our nation? Complacency. Are they complacent or are they cowards afraid to speak up and stand up? Because when you stand up for God, Adonai, HE STANDS WITH YOU!
I remember the rally call that was upon the lips of almost every American after 9/11. It was:
“Never forget”. Yet… it clearly appears there is a great majority of our nation that has forgotten.
Not only have we forgotten the terrorists that came and attacked us on that dark day, we have forgotten the ideologies the people who attacked us believed in. Those same ideologies are here in our nation today, spreading all over our land like a cancer of darkness preaching hatred, division and violent aggression, mostly about the Jewish people, but also about any of us who support them, the nation of Israel and believe in the love of Adonai and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Protests demanding the entire nation of Israel be completely destroyed are plaguing our cities from coast to coast and those who share these same ideologies also hold seats in our Congress and other positions in our nation’s leadership.
Can you understand why God is shaking us?
Can you see why God is speaking to us from the heavens? Warning us to pay attention?
He is trying to wake us up! He is trying to warn us of what is happening right now, right here before our very eyes. This evil that is infiltrating our nation, this spirit of antisemitism, it must be battled and can be defeated with the love and power of Jesus Christ!
Years ago, the things being shouted at these rallies would have been considered unthinkable:
“Gas the Jews!” “Death to America!” “Resistance by any means necessary!” “There is only one solution! Communist Revolution!” “Rape is justified!” “Jews are Nazi’s!” Think I may be exaggerating?

We do not engage in rallying our spiritual troops the way these people conduct their rallies of destruction and hate. We conduct ours on our knees in daily prayer. We conduct ours by empowering ourselves daily in God’s HOLY Word because it is the BEST weapon of warfare ever to be found in this world and beyond! We conduct ours by attending church and gathering together to pray for these people and their hearts. We can pray for Jesus to manifest Himself in dreams and visions. He’s done it before and over 200 people came to Christ! We can pray for their events to have supernatural power that shuts them down. We can pray for their eyes and ears to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ for He is the way the truth and the life! (John 14:6) We battle them, not with the same hate they carry for us, but with the love and power that can only come from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, “
Today’s solar eclipse passed over Washington D.C. at 3:30pm their time. I sincerely hope that President Biden and all those in positions of power took the time to watch it, but more importantly I am praying that there will come an awakening to their souls and to their hearts, so they will turn to God’s Holy Word, the Bible, to learn more about what took place today and begin to understand the significance of what happened and why.
My prayer is that they will pay attention to the warnings of God because they are some of the very ones I believe God is trying to wake up and warn to pay attention to their words, choices and actions the most. So many of them keep leading our nation farther and farther away from God and His Holy Word. God is warning them. Wake up! Pay attention!
Joel 2:30-31 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.”
This solar eclipse took place today on Monday, April 8, 2024. This is also the last day of the Jewish month of Adar and when the sun sets this evening it will begin the first day of Nisan, which is the month of Passover–another time of miracles! For those of us who are not seeing this eclipse as something magical, because God does NOT do magic! And for those of us who do not see it as the power of the universe, because God CREATED the universe, and HE has the power to control it! And for those of us who worship God, Adonai and our Lord and Savior, His Only Son, Jesus Christ, Who, by His blood broke all curses and through His death on the cross, became the bridge from God to man, we know that this eclipse is NOT “mother nature” It – IS – GOD, ADONAI!
We are the ones who are going to be receiving the miracles of God in this season! Amen and Amen!
Even though no one I heard spoke anything at all about God’s power or majesty, I heard many speak about how moved they were to witness just an awesome display in the heavens. Many said they were, in fact, quite emotional. Whether they realize or not, or whether they would admit it or not, the emotions they were feeling are directly connected to our innate spirit that God, Adonai, our Creator has placed within each and every one of us. He created us and everything which exists in this universe and beyond, so when we see something so truly awesome, whether people will acknowledge it is Him or not, our innate spirit that He created within us is deeply moved and that proves we are all still connected to Him and can be reached for Him! I also would like to add that while doing some studies with Samuel in school following the eclipse, we found some videos of people who described it as a celestial event. That at least was something acknowledging the heavens and the divine!
It is said that it will be 129 years before many parts of our nation will get to see another total solar eclipse happen again, and yet, we have had two in the past 7 years. I said it before and I will say it again, it is not a cosmic coincidence! It is not a coincidence at all! It is the hand of our Almighty God speaking to us! Trying to communicate with us… warning us. What is the warning? The first verse that comes to my mind is this:
Zechariah 1:3 “Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD Almighty.”
